After falling out of the shower and bashing my head on the toilet, I realized that the shower is, in fact, NOT the best place to try and learn the "Running Man" dance. True story!

But on a more serious note, I love to have fun and interacting with people. Although if you ever see me on campus I am probably jamming out to my IPOD, so sometimes I can be oblivious to the people around me. Recently I have become very involved in activities throughout Longwood University and the community. I am the President of the Longwood Young Dems club, the treasurer of the Criminal Justice Fraternity Lambda Alpha Epsilon, and a member of the Honors Sociology Fraternity Alpha Kappa Delta. This summer I took on a role of a Common Good Summer Fellow to help campaign for Virginia's 5th district Congressman Tom Perriello, and have built up several relations with people in 4 surrounding counties that will last me a lifetime.

Don’t Tell Me Its Over

DONE and DONE….or can I say AHHHHHHHH FREAK OUT!

Yeah buddy, I just definitely just registered for my last time here as a Longwood student. It is definitely a bittersweet moment to say the least. It really is the end of my school year..or practically it is. Fall semester ALWAYS seems to go so much faster when you are busy with balancing two jobs, school, school organizations, along with other responsibilities.

At the same time I feel like I missed out on part of my first half of my senior year. Sure I went to Oktoberfest, but just the booths. And as for Halloween I went to a rally to see President Obama so I got home too late to kickoff the Halloween weekend with friends on Friday night. Saturday was a different story, and it is nights like those that make up for the things I do feel like I miss out on.

My sisters and my friends are the people who keep me sane in the times where I feel that school is bogging me down, or just life in general. In the few months that we have left, we’ve all been making an effort to try to hang out more. I think we are all a bit scared of us leaving in December or May. But we all get through it, which matters the most. We all realize that we get away with so much here at school whether it is a little comment here or there about how cute somebody, and we learn to cherish it because in the real world we can’t be loud, and make goofy faces at each…at least not while out in public hahaha.

And then for the dreaded loong and drawn out Spring semester, yeah it is as bad as it sounds unfortunately. It is just that we get pampered by all the small breaks Fall semester that come Spring time we only get Spring Break and like 1 or 2  three day weekends in between. BUT alas spring break does come and go, and then its graduation. SUPER EXCITING!!

Yeah bitter sweet is definitely the correct term for sure.
