Hi, I’m Matt and I love being a Lancer! I am a senior in the P.H.E.T.E program. (Physical Health Education and Teacher Education) I love to go to Longwood athletic events and support my friends. I am engaged to Mallory Pendleton and will be getting married June 8th 2013. Last year I received a CHI COMMENDATION for my representation of my fraternity Phi Mu Delta, Service as a Resident Assistant and my compassion for those around me. I was so excited and proud to receive this recognition. I love Longwood and all it has to offer. GO LANCERS!!

Old Friends, Oxymorrons, and Oktoberfest

This year’s Oktoberfest was way different than last years for me. Last year I was an RA and had to work during the bands, so I didn’t really get to enjoy all of the festivities. To start, on Friday Mallory and I had a double date with some old friends. We spent almost 5 hours sitting around the dinner table laughing and talking about whatever. It was great to catch up with them and see what they have been up to. Yes, it sounds like what old people do but, it was the most fun I have had in a long time.

The next day Phi Mu Delta’s booth sold caramel apples. Not to brag but, we had the best apples because we used locally grown apples and had special toppings. I am super proud of James Gregory our fundraising chair! He, along with all the other brothers sold all the caramel apples by the end of the day, so again a great day of making money for our fraternity.

Later that night after making dinner for Mallory and all our parents who came up for the day, Mallory and I went to the Oxymorron’s concert.  It was awesome; I got some new swag and CD. I took some videos of the performance and hope you enjoy them.
