I'm from Richmond, VA and when it came to choosing which school to go to, I had no idea. When I came to Longwood for my first tour, my mom said she could see me going to Longwood, and since Mom usually knows best, here I am!
When I first started at Longwood, my intentions were to become a Physical and Health Education teacher. After my sophomore year, I realized teaching really wasn't my passion, so I changed my Kinesiology concentration to Exercise Science. Throughout my time here, I've been involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Longwood Ambassadors, Phi Epsilon Kappa, Mortar Board and I'm in my second year as a Resident Assistant. My senior year has approached so quickly and I'm trying to take in as many of the Longwood traditions as I can before I graduate in May.

I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned this in a blog post before, but I may have said something in a tweet before.  If I didn’t, here’s a quick summary: Longwood has two secret societies, Chi and Princeps–everything about them is a secret, including the members of each organization.  You don’t know who is in each of the groups until they reveal at the end of their senior year.

Last night was the annual Chi burning where the members reveal themselves.  I don’t want to write too much about it, because any words that I say will never completely describe the feeling of spirit that you get from being there.  I will share these 2 pictures with you though, in hopes that they will get you excited about Longwood traditions that everyone looks so forward to each year!

I was very excited to have the privledge of knowing many of the members of Chi from classes and organizations. Quick shout out to fellow Student Blogger, Corey Morris, for revealing last night! What an honor!

Now, we wait until graduation morning for the Princeps revealing.

I love Longwood & all of the traditions that come with it!!
