I'm from Richmond, VA and when it came to choosing which school to go to, I had no idea. When I came to Longwood for my first tour, my mom said she could see me going to Longwood, and since Mom usually knows best, here I am!
When I first started at Longwood, my intentions were to become a Physical and Health Education teacher. After my sophomore year, I realized teaching really wasn't my passion, so I changed my Kinesiology concentration to Exercise Science. Throughout my time here, I've been involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Longwood Ambassadors, Phi Epsilon Kappa, Mortar Board and I'm in my second year as a Resident Assistant. My senior year has approached so quickly and I'm trying to take in as many of the Longwood traditions as I can before I graduate in May.

I know it has been quite a while since I’ve blogged, and I apologize for that, but we’ve hit that point of the semester where the work begins to pile up! Last week was Spring Break (and I can’t believe it’s already over!). The week before and the week after Spring Break seem to be so busy–midterms are scheduled, papers and assignments are due, organizations are trying to meet before break…it can get quite hectic.

On top of all this, I still keep going back to the common theme of, “I can’t believe this was my last Spring Break ever, and how is it possible that there are only 6 weeks left of classes?!”  Still so crazy to me.

One thing I’m really trying to do to enjoy each day I have left at Longwood, is to take it all day-by-day.  Instead of sitting with my planner Sunday night and trying to plan out the entire week, I’m trying to just plan out each day the night before.  Get my bookbag ready for class, make tomorrow’s to-do list, check my email one more time, etc.  …just to stay on top of things!

I think this will help, too, because in the back of my mind, I know that these last weeks are going to go by SO. FAST. There is so much to look forward to at the end of the year and during the spring time, so I am planning on just taking it all in as it comes and ENJOYING IT!!
