I'm from Richmond, VA and when it came to choosing which school to go to, I had no idea. When I came to Longwood for my first tour, my mom said she could see me going to Longwood, and since Mom usually knows best, here I am!
When I first started at Longwood, my intentions were to become a Physical and Health Education teacher. After my sophomore year, I realized teaching really wasn't my passion, so I changed my Kinesiology concentration to Exercise Science. Throughout my time here, I've been involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Longwood Ambassadors, Phi Epsilon Kappa, Mortar Board and I'm in my second year as a Resident Assistant. My senior year has approached so quickly and I'm trying to take in as many of the Longwood traditions as I can before I graduate in May.

Today is our first sight of SNOW in Farmville!! Even though it’s mixed with rain right now and nothing is sticking, it’s so exciting! :)

I love snow; I look forward to it every year. And each year at Christmas time, I hope and pray that it will snow ON Christmas…I feel like that makes Christmas more Christmasy.

Ok, sorry, I know Christmas was 2 months ago!!

Since the snow currently falling isn’t just the white fluffy flakes we all think about when we hear the word “snow” I’m taking this time to stay inside where it’s warm and be productive (I LOVE days like this!!). Days like this aren’t only for making sure I have all of Monday’s homework done or I’m caught up on everything, but I can also get ahead. Oh yes, and that feeling is wonderful!! More time to hopefully relax during the week! In my case, this will give me more time to study this week, since Wendesday I have a test and on both Thursday and Friday I have a quiz.

This will also help out with my time management this week (Always important!). My advice to anyone would be to get and USE a planner. My planner has my life written down in it, and for me, I highlight and color coordinate everything (Pink = personal stuff; Orange = tests/quizzes; Yellow = assignments due; Blue = anything RA related; Green = meetings). If I ever lose my planner, I foresee myself having a mental breakdown!! haha. But really, find what works for you and keep up with it so you don’t regret it later!! :)
