It’s starting to feel like Spring Semester

Before I came back to Farmville for my final spring semester, I had spent my last few days of winter break vacationing in Florida. The 60 and 70 degree weather was just what I needed, except for the fact that it was the exact same temperature here in Virginia. It was hard to get into school mode while in Florida even though I was scheduling last minute doctor’s appointments and ordering my books for the new semester. It was even harder to get into school mode when I came to campus for RA training and we were dressing up like superheroes and prepping for all the fun stuff for the semester. The temperature was still in the 60′s and apart from the date, it was hard to tell that it was even January.

Well I can easily say that it officially feels like Spring Semester. The blistering cold, the movement of students across campus, Dhall buzzing with laughter and winter break plans, and students wandering around the academic buildings looking for the right classroom (that’s me!).

Last week was short week for me, I only had class on Wednesday evening and Thursday, but I am already aware of what a challenge this semester will be for me. Within those two days my planner was filling up with due dates and tests and that’s not even including my extracurricular activities! Nonetheless I am incredibly excited for this semester. I gave my first tour of my last semester on Friday although it was incredibly bittersweet, I am ready to get back into the swing of things and end this semester with a bang (or a Commencement :) ).

I look forward to what this year will bring and will cherish the moments I have left on this wonderful campus.
