I am senior Business Marketing major with a minor in Spanish at Longwood University. I am from Richmond, Virginia. I love to read and travel. I hope to go abroad and explore Europe or South America after college. I plan on pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration in Sustainable Business after graduation. Yesterday was the inauguration of Longwood University’s 25th president, Brigadier General Patrick Finnegan. Over the past year, President Finnegan has bee an absolute asset to this university. He and his wife are so involved with students and have made a point to welcome each and everyone of us. They participate in our many, many traditions and have really embraced the Lancer spirit. Even though the idea of graduating saddens me, I feel so comfortable knowing that an awesome man and leader like President Finnegan will be here leading and empowering future Lancers.

The Inaugural Weekend was filled with fun activities like a picnic and performances by Senior Class President Nancy McDonald. There was a choral concert on Thursday night that I had the opportunity to help with. I even got to see our former President, President Cormier! On Friday morning, I was able to greet with other Ambassadors and we got to see alumni from a few years ago. It was really exciting to see all of these people come together to honor such a great man.

As always, I am proud to rock the blue and white with President Finnegan.

Ambassadors at Inauguration!
