I am a senior at Longwood University, with a Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) major and a Children's Literature minor. I am a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma and live in Stubbs Dormatory on campus. I grew up in Northern Virginia and have lived in the same house for my entire life. I am the youngest of three girls and have a terror of a dog. I like to read classic books, my favorite being Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and listen to all kinds of music.

Violet Week

This is a very busy week for me and my sorority. It’s our Initiation week, which we call our Violet Week. Tri-Sigma was founded at Longwood and there are lots of traditions I have to uphold as the Ritual Chair. We have a ceremony every night that’s about 15-30 minutes long. It’s the most important week to me this semester because it’s my last time I’m going to be Ritual chair because I’m going alum next semester.
Being in a sorority is more than just hanging out with 60 of your best friends, it’s about the values that tie you all to your Ritual. I’m really excited for this week and I’ll try and keep you updated on ceremonies and such through twitter.
In the blue and white spirit,
