I am a senior at Longwood University, with a Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) major and a Children's Literature minor. I am a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma and live in Stubbs Dormatory on campus. I grew up in Northern Virginia and have lived in the same house for my entire life. I am the youngest of three girls and have a terror of a dog. I like to read classic books, my favorite being Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and listen to all kinds of music.

Hurricane Sandy

For those of you who don’t know Longwood has really strange weather. Hurricane Sandy was kind of a big deal. But in Farmville, it just was really dark and rainy- it wasn’t even that windy. When Virginia is supposed to get a lot of snow- it rains at Longwood. When it is supposed to be really nice out, it’s moderate weather. This may sound weird saying this because since I’ve been at Longwood I’ve encountered a tornado, landing behind dhall, an earthquake, a couple snow storms and now a hurricane. Generally in everyday weather nothing extreme happens. It’s always unexpected, so if you decide to come to Longwood, which you should because it’s the best school in the world, don’t skip on the rain boats, snow boots, flashlight and ramen packets!
