This week is crazy because exams are next week. I came back from Thanksgiving and realized how soon exams are, I thought we had two weeks of class and then exams, but we only have one! I have a lot to study for for spanish but I have mostly group projects- which happens as you get into your junior and senior level classes.
This week I also have a get together at Dave and Busters with my fellow ITC’s and I have Tri-Sigma pass-downs on Friday.
Pass-down I’m really sad about. I have another pledge sister leaving, which is someone who joins the organization at the same time as you. Pass-downs is when the graduating seniors give all of their sorority stuff to younger sisters in the chapter. They give away anything from shirts to plaques to specific things that have stories behind them.
I am sad to see the seniors go but even more sad because this is my last semester of real classes, I have my partnership (student teaching), and my actual student teaching left. That means I’ll be passing down next semester.
So not only do I have pass-downs to think about but also exams and final projects. I have a lesson plan due on thursday along with a group presentation. I have blackboard post and another group project due by monday. I have a spanish oral and final exam next thursday. I have to finish my teaching philosophy by wednesday. And I also have math homework due tonight and some sort of math test as my final.
It’s crazy to think that my senior year is halfway through, and that I’m no longer a traditional going to class college student. I’m in the big kid world next semester going to elementary school and taking specific teaching classes. I have one more class that I’m taking over winter break- English 400, but thats with my boss Jenny as the teacher and I know she’ll make the class really fun!
In the white and blue spirit,
