I am a girl who loves to smile and tries to see the beauty in every situation. My family and friends mean the world to me and spending time with them always makes my happy. I can not believe I am already a senior at Longwood. After I graduate in May, I hope to work on my master's degree for School Psychology. Working with children has always been a dream of mine. The journey working towards accomplishing my goal has been exciting so far and I look forward to what the future holds.

Christmas is almost here!

On Wednesday, November 17th, Longwood held its annual tree lighting ceremony.  Initially I thought I was not going to be able to attend due to my class schedule, but I made it after all! My professor was kind enough to let our night class have a break which happened to fall during the time of the tree lighting.  The hallways were crowded by the time I got to the center of Ruffner gathered around the tree, but my friends and I made in just in time.  President Finnegan spoke and started the countdown to the lighting of the tree.  It was delightful to see and listen to President Finnegan speak on the tradition of Longwood and how much the spirit means to him.  We only have a few more weeks of classes, but I know the spirit of Longwood will be strong due to the amazing traditions held around the beautiful Christmas tree.
