I’ve always enjoyed the positioning of breaks in our college schedules. They always seem to come at a very appropriate time. However, it always does seem like it takes forever before they actually get here. I like spring break though because it comes at the perfect time. It’s right before all of the semester’s work is due and right after the stress of knowing all of the semester’s work is do shadows anything else you may be thinking about.
This is what we like to call crunch time. If you don’t buckle down during spring break and catch up (or at least motivate yourself to buckle down when we get back to school), you’re done. Forget passing. For seniors, forget graduation. But nobody really falls into that trap because a small break can help us energize into a much better study machine.
Even with spring break starting for me in about two hours, it seems very hard to believe this is my last one. It’s hard to think I’ve had three of them already. I’m not sure what I’ll do. Probably play around outside since that’s something I really miss. Maybe I’ll spend the whole week digging holes (probably not) or cutting trees (too late in the season to do that). I know that I’ll at least spend a partial amount of that time hanging out with the girlfriend, Nicole. She’s getting her wisdom teeth taken out, not really how I’d want to spend a vacation. But, at least it’s not during finals week when enough stress is already encompassing the body.
What are your plans for spring break? Anything interesting? Going anywhere fun? Let me know! Until I write you again, have a safe and fun time doing whatever you’ll be doing.
