I am from the rural dirt roads of Botetourt County, Virginia. I choose Longwood because of its size and friendly atmosphere. I am heavily involved in my school and community both here in Farmville and back home in Eagle Rock, Virginia.

I serve as News Editor for The Rotunda, the student newspaper here on campus, and have been writing for the paper since March 2009. I am also a Sergeant-At-Arms for the Longwood University Judicial Board. I have spent this summer discovering the world of online freelance journalism and have quite enjoyed myself.

Dos Mas

It takes this many to tango. One more than this is a crowd. And this many more weeks and we’ll be done with another semester.

It’s hard to believe this semester, my last fall semester ever, is coming to an end so quickly. Like I say ever year, it seems like we just got started. But we didn’t. This is the beginning of the end of the semester. But I’m ready for it. I say bring it on. But I couldn’t do this without the help of a particular five-day weekend.

We all got a bit of a break with Thanksgiving this past weekend. For myself, I got caught up on some much needed sleep. In fact, I averaged at least 10 hours per night, something that hasn’t happened this semester probably. In fact, I felt like I could run a marathon when I got back to school yesterday.

As always, I’ll be posting on this blog regularly some study tips to help you through your exam week. This is the final stretch, Longwood. We’ll get through these exams and show them who is boss.
